The skin over the entry site was cleansed and draped in sterile fashion, and local anesthetic of 1% Lidocaine with epinephrine applied. Conscious sedation was administered. A 19-guage coaxial introducer needle was advanced through the skin and chest wall towards the target lesion under real-time CT guidance to confirm correct positioning. The inner stylet was removed and 3 core needle biopsies were obtained using a 20-guage core biopsy needle. The needle and introducer were removed and pressure applied to stop the bleeding. A sterile dressing was applied. Post-procedure CT of chest confirmed no hemorrhage or pneumothorax. Tissue sent for histopathologic evaluation. Cytopathology confirms adenocarcinoma. find cpt
